“Moonstar”was captured during a full moon rise, one of those nights when I justcouldn’t resist chasing moonlight. To create this dramatic starburst effect,I used an 8-point star filter over my lens—an old trick in the photographyworld that adds a magical, prismatic flare to bright light sources. Thesilhouette of the forest sets the perfect stage for the glowing burst oflunar brilliance. As a self-proclaimed moon junkie, you can bet that anytimethe moon is near full, I’m probably out somewhere getting my moontan—this night was one of those unforgettable ones.
