This was taken right off the back deck at my place in Pine on a full moon night with just enough cloud cover to make it interesting. Most of the time, shooting the moon itself doesn’t do much—it just turns into a bright spot with no real depth. But this time the clouds gave it something to work against. The light pushes through, spreads out, and starts to shape the sky instead of just sitting there. The trees help ground it too. Without them, it’s just sky—but with them, you get scale and perspective, something that pulls you into the scene. It’s one of those shots where everything had to line up just right—the moon, the clouds, and being in the right place to catch it.
