“Superstition Moonrise” was one of the first images I created after buying my first DSLR. I was still learning the camera, but I’ve always been a moon junkie, so a full moon over the Superstitions was all the excuse I needed to head into the desert. Looking back, I’d photograph it differently today, but I’m glad I didn’t. It remains one of my signature pieces and one that always seems to draw a second look, especially in my LED backlit frames.
