This was out in the Sonoran Desert, and the color is what made it. It shifted into those deep purples and golds all at once, and it didn’t last long. The clouds stacked up in a way that gave the sky some weight, and the saguaros just stayed dark against it. That contrast is what made the whole thing work. I didn’t chase this one. I just stayed put and let it develop for a few minutes until everything lined up. It’s one of those scenes where the color does all the talking—you just have to be there when it hits.
